Small Banner Palanca/Agape Idea

MATERIALS:

  1. Paper
  2. Toothpicks
  3. Scissors
  4. Contact paper

(Use this scripture – Song of Songs 2:4, 6:3)

“He brought me to His banqueting table
His banner over me is love
I am my Beloved’s and He is mine
His banner over me is love.”

INSTRUCTIONS:

Print out the above scripture on a sheet of card stock spaced out on the page so they can be cut out separately.  You may use the font and color of your choice if done on the computer or may be written by hand depending on the number you want to make.  Can also be done using Avery business cards online by following these instructions:

Set up a template using Avery:

  • Click on Avery link
  • Click Templates & Software tab on blue bar
  • Choose Avery Design & Print Online
  • Choose business cards from menu on the left (find a blank one or choose one and delete images)
  • Use the dashboard to choose your font and color, leaving space on the right side of the font to insert the toothpick for the banner

To make the banner you may use decorative paper or contact paper and cut it the size your want it.  Wrap it around the toothpick and glue it together if using paper and stick together if using contact paper.  Then at the opposite end of the toothpick cut a triangle to give it a banner look.  You can be as creative as you like in making the small ‘banner’.

Include any notation about who the palanca-agape is from if desired on the back.  Community name and weekend number, reunion group name can be handwritten or typed on mailing labels which can then be put on the back of the cards.

Then punch two small holes for the toothpick to be threaded to the left side of the card.

This is a great palanca-agape to give after the banners are introduced during the weekend.

Please visit our store where you will find ready made palanca/agape or devotionals that make great gifts for 4th day reunion groups.
